 STANHOPE WELCOMES FIRST RESIDENTS TO NEW HOMES
Gleeson Developments has handed over the first new homes to be built in Stanhope
Gleeson Developments has handed over the first new homes to be built in Stanhope following the commencement of services under the Development Agreement with Ashford Borough Council which, as part of the PFI deal was closed in April 2007.
Construction of the first properties started on programme in July 2007 and just 12 months later the first 16 new houses were handed over to Moat Homes who will own and manage them. Tenants for the new homes were selected through the Ashford Borough Council Choice Based Lettings procedure and moved in on the day Gleeson made them available.
Ashford Borough Council were delighted that for the first 16 new houses to come available in this previously unpopular area there were over 450 applicants from their Housing list.
As part of the project Gleeson Developments will be constructing a total of 309 new homes for Moat by 2012.
Gleeson Developments are pleased that, of the 6 completed homes for sale, 3 first time buyer families have moved into their new houses already and other properties are under offer.
Gleeson Capital Solutions continue to successfully manage and coordinate the whole project for the SPV Chrysalis (Stanhope) Limited.
